COVID-19 Safety

Common Questions

What sanitization and social distancing measures are in place?

As we welcome you on-site to one of our campus locations, we are committed to making Journey a safe place for you and your family. When you arrive for any service or special event, you’ll notice the following measures:

Our campus locations have received certification from the highest cleaning standard for facilities, GBAC Star™.

We’ve also recently installed ionization technology in the HVAC systems of our auditoriums, which helps purify the air and reduce airborne contaminants—including particles containing viruses. We’ve placed ample hand sanitization stations around the building.

We’ll continue to offer digital connect, prayer, and giving options.

We encourage you to use your own discretion with regard to preventative measures, like facial coverings, as we remain committed to making Journey a safe place for you and your family.

Are services available online? What if I’m not comfortable returning in-person yet?

We encourage you to continue to gather with us online through Journey Church at Home, especially if you or someone you love is more vulnerable at this time. Our weekend experience and ministry resources will still be available for you and your family to engage with at home. As we’ve said before, we’re one church that meets in many locations—so whether that’s on-site or online, church is wherever you are!

We kindly ask that you and your family join online if you’ve:

Had a fever in the last 72 hours.

Are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Have recently been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19

Are Journey Kids services available?

Yes! Journey Kids is offered in-person at all campus locations. Additionally, we offer weekly Journey Kids programming digitally for you and your family to enjoy on-demand. To access these resources, please visit www.gojourneychurch.com/kids or visit our Journey Kids Youtube Channel.

Our Journey Kids team works hard to keep our environments safe and fun for your family. When you drop off your child at Journey Kids, you will notice the following sanitization measures in place:

- We have very high standards for our hygiene and cleaning protocols, which include using sanitation wipes to wipe down all high-touch areas before, during, and after services.

- We’ve placed ample hand sanitizing stations around the building, and appreciate you and your kids using hand sanitizer prior to entering our Journey Kids environment.

- We have made checking in as touchless as possible by providing attendants to help your family check in safely and easily. If it’s your family’s first time attending one of our campus locations in person, you can register your Journey Kids in advance to make check-in as easy as possible when you arrive.

We kindly ask that you and your family participate with JOURNEY Kids online if your child:

Has had a fever in the last 72 hours.

Is showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

Has recently been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Thank you for helping us make Journey Kids a safe and fun environment!

Are masks required?

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Journey has always committed to following the guidance of local county officials. With the local emergency orders now being lifted, facial coverings are no longer required in the counties in which Journey is located.

We still encourage you to use your own discretion with regard to preventative measures as we remain committed to making Journey a safe place for you and your family.

We also understand that individual comfort levels vary, which is why we will have socially distanced seating options available as well as continuing to broaden our digital offerings through Journey Everywhere.

Do I have to make a reservation to save my spot for service?

We will not be requiring reservations at this time. We’ve adjusted our service times to allow for extra time in between services to ensure we can properly sanitize our common spaces and provide ample time for traffic flow and to minimize crowd congestion.
