Giving

God tells us in His Word that He loves a cheerful giver, which is why we always want to create opportunities to give as He leads us and with a cheerful heart, through no obligation.

Christmas Offering

One weekend a year, we take a special Christmas offering to bring our gifts and our presents to God. There is nothing that God loves more than reaching people that are lost and far from him. So that is exactly what our Christmas offering is about this year. Increasing our outreach!

Through this initiative, we believe that more people will be reached with the good news of Jesus than ever before. God has incredible things in store for 2021. Would you please pray and ask God what kind of gift he would have you to give this year at our Christmas offering."

Common Questions

End-of-Year Contributions

You can give your year-end contributions online or in person at our offering boxes. Online contributions made by midnight on December 31 are recorded as contributions for that same year. All contributions received or postmarked after December 31 are recorded as contributions for the following year. Year-end giving statements are emailed by no later than January 31 to the email address we have on file.

What about Asset Based Giving?

Stocks & Mutual Funds - If you are currently writing checks to your local church and a ministry, and you also have appreciated stocks or mutual funds in a taxable investment portfolio, you likely have a significant opportunity to pay less tax, give more, improve your personal cash flow, and simplify your giving.

Charitable Gift Annuities - A CGA is a simple arrangement that involves a charitable gift and an annuity. You make the gift (part of which is tax deductible), and then you receive fixed annuity payments each year for the remainder of your life. If you wish, you can have the payments go to a family member or friend instead. We work with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) to set up charitable gift annuities. The annuity is a legally binding contract, and they have never missed an annuity payment.

Real Estate - Many property owners have a heart to give but feel hindered by limited cash flow and ever-growing taxes. If that’s you, we can help you leverage your real estate so you can send more to charity than you thought possible. Journey Church partners with National Christian Foundation (NCF) to provide comprehensive information regarding your real estate property and giving. Whether you own a beachfront home or a family farm, the team at NCF can help you turn your valuable property into Bibles for evangelism, help for the poor, or anything else God is calling you to support. By giving real estate before the sale, instead of writing checks to charity, you'll improve your cash flow, reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes, and send more to your favorite causes.

What are my options for online giving?

Web and mobile giving are available for one-time gifts or for scheduled, recurring contributions. Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule ongoing contributions, or view your giving history, you can do it all from your computer or mobile phone. It’s quick, easy, and secure.

Can I give through personal online banking?

Yes. You can submit your tithe and gifts through your bank’s online bill payment service. Your bank will send Journey Church the payment, and we will add it to your giving record as if you had written a check yourself. Indicate “Journey Church” as your payee, specify your name as the account, and use the following information for the payee address:

Journey Church
6201 S Military Trail
Lake Worth, FL 33463

Note: Please allow 24-48 hours for your transaction to post to your giving record.

Are there other options for giving?

Your giving falls into two categories: charitable cash and asset-based contributions. Charitable cash includes cash, check, or debit card donations. If you'd like to mail in check or cash, address it to our offices:

Journey Church
6201 S Military Trail
Lake Worth, FL 33463

Asset-based contributions are noncash and include stocks & mutual funds, charitable gift annuities (CGAs), or real estate.
