Premarital Counseling
Are you engaged? Congratulations! We have great news for you. Journey Church is now going to be offering pre-marital counseling for our engaged couples. Research shows that couples who participate in premarital counseling are 31% less likely to get divorced. We want to support your marriage before it even starts, and our premarital counseling program is individualized for each couple. We will be offering 1:1 counseling as well as small group counseling so that you can walk through this season with other engaged couples. This is an 8-week intensive program designed to prepare you to start this exciting season of life!
Re|Engage
Journey Church is passionate about seeing marriages restored. We want to fight for your marriage with you, so we are launching our Re|Engage program to help support couples in our church. Whether your marriage needs to be reignited or completely resurrected, Re|Engage is a safe place for you and your spouse to reconnect. Re|Engage will offer two components within the ministry including a large group and small group setting. Every week begins in a large group setting, where you will hear stories of hope from other couples whose marriages have been transformed. Re|Engage leaders will also share practical steps you can take to improve your own relationship. After meeting as a large group, participants will break off into smaller groups, with each group led by a facilitator couple. Together, you and your small group will work through the 16-lesson curriculum and learn how to effectively communicate, resolve conflict, and grow closer to your spouse. You will go through Re|Engage with 4-6 other couples that are also seeking a better marriage. Our hope for you is, by sharing your life experience, you can grow in community and gain support from other couples just like you.
Marriage Small Groups
We will be launching a brand new marriage small group curriculum called “Marriage on the Rock!” This is an in-depth program to help couples build a strong foundation for their marriage. Whether you’ve been married for 1 month or 30 years, this program has a lot to offer. We have trained leaders that will take couples in our church through the curriculum to see marriages at Journey Church flourish! This curriculum will follow our semester model, which takes place over 12 weeks.
