Journey Outreach is a ministry of Journey Church meeting the needs of local and global communities all across our world.
We truly believe that experiencing God has the power to change everything. Our dream is for people to experience God personally, find freedom, discover their purpose, and make a difference in the lives of others. We believe nothing is too lost or broken for Him to heal, and we are committed to meeting physical and spiritual needs of our city through the outreach of Palm Beach Dream Center.
Here’s how we do it:
Through our mobile care-unit we have launched Outreach Programs that will provide free assistance to those struggling in our local community through the power of partnership. This support allows families and individuals to focus on their personal growth, spiritual growth, family health, and stability while having basic needs met on a consistent basis.
Working with our state and local governments, the Foster Care Intervention team works with individual families who have open cases with the Department of Children and Family Services. We help families stay together by providing basic necessities and in many cases, the furniture they need. Our goal in partnering with DCF is to help loving families avoid separation, provide support to families who are in the process of reunification and ultimately help close their case.
Through Jail Outreach, inmates can be discipled, encouraged and befriended by Serve Teams. With weekly visits and mentorship, Bible studies and church services, individuals of different demographics and backgrounds are equipped to experience God and find freedom. Serving as a bridge between those incarcerated in jail and those recovering, our incredible Serve Teams help build a loving community for incarcerated men and women.
Through this weekly outreach, the Dream Center partners with the City of Lake Worth, City of Boynton Beach, Boynton Beach Police Department and PBSO to identify communities in-need. Serve Teams and other organizations are sent to visit underserved neighborhoods across Palm Beach County with the goal of finding a need and filling it. This outreach program includes distributing food, hygiene items and other essentials, playing with kids, picking up trash, visiting family's door-to-door and sharing the gospel.
The Dream Center partners with the School District of PBC, Adopt-a-Block and other organizations to offer free mobile healthcare to low-income families and children. Because of you, the Dream Center has a mission to provide vision care, medical, dental, preventative care and school physicals to over 2,000 low-income families in Palm Beach County.
Over 15% of Palm Beach County residents are fighting hunger at this moment. This means that over 200,000 people, including 63,000 children, are unsure where their next meal is coming from. The Dream Center addresses this need by distributing food to individuals and families in over 5 local distribution sites in Palm Beach County. Over the course of a year, our mission is to provide more than 500,000 to families in-need through Palm Beach Dream Center.
Step2Sports program provides emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual support to the many youth and children of the local underserved neighborhood sites in Palm Beach County. Through sports, games, and other activities we aim to make a difference in their lives through discipleship, consistency and simply being present in their lives.
The Dream Center collaborates with various churches, Palm Beach Emergency Management and other organizations in order to quickly provide resources & emotional and spiritual support to victims affected by natural disasters occurring in the state of Florida. Resources such as hygiene products, baby products, food and water are just some of the items distributed.
